[ARCHIVED] Study: North San Joaquin Most Resistant to COVID-19-related Job Loss

UOP Employment Impacts of COVID19

University of the Pacific’s Center for Business and Policy Research (CBPR) released a research brief identifying the impact of COVID-19 on employment, wages and job sectors in North San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, Monterey Bay, San Francisco Bay and North Bay areas.

“The COVID‐19 pandemic has had very different effects on employment across the subregions of the Northern California Megaregion (NCMR),” reads a portion of “Employment Impacts of COVID-19 on Northern California.” “The North San Joaquin Valley (NSJV, which includes San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced counties) has been the most resistant to job loss in the first six months of the pandemic. …”
