Bike Month 2020 is live and online. The year 2020 has offered a unique challenge to Bike Month. dibs and SJCOG are complying with all state, federal, and local guidelines and will not be hosting or assisting with physical Bike Month events. Instead, our plan is to shift focus to health and wellness and recognize those that may be enjoying the outdoors while respecting social distancing guidelines.
Physical events won’t be appearing, but dibs will be offering raffles, contests, sharing daily tips and tricks for bikers, walkers and those working from home, as well as lend our support to local communities. It is our hope that we can still offer a sense of community and encourage wellness at this time through the following:
- Weekly: Each week, we’ll raffle virtual food delivery service gift cards to a random trip logger from each county.
- Monthly: At the end of the month, our top walker/biker with the most logged trips will receive a meal delivery gift card from the Stockton-based company, Gobble. In addition, we’ll be running a month-long “Bike Decorating” contest. One winner will be chosen from each county and receive a $500 gift card to a bike shop of their choice.
- Social Media: We’ll be peppering in some small social media contests for additional food delivery vouchers. Social Media contests will take place on facebook.com/dibsmyway
Any person 18 or older who is a resident of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, or Merced county are eligible to win. Participants must register and log their trips via dibsmyway.com or through the Commute Tracker App by Ridemigos. Trips must be logged during May 1, 2020 – May 31, 2020.
