[ARCHIVED] 2020 dibs ECO Award Presented to Musco Family Olive Co.

ECO Award

At the 15th annual REXPO event, Musco Family Olive Co. was awarded the dibs ECO (Excellence in Commuter Options) award, recognizing their efforts in promoting transportation alternatives for their employees. Every year, dibs partners with the Greater Stockton Chamber to present the annual ECO Award to an employer who has demonstrated their commitment by investing in sustainability efforts to make a difference for the environment and for their employees.

Musco Family Olive Co. is the leading supplier of table olives in America, and their Tracy plant is the most advanced olive processing facility in the world. They are a workplace that encourages employees to also reduce their personal environmental footprint by involving them in their sustainability initiatives.

Through the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District’s Rule 9410. Musco Family Olive Co. has created an Employer Trip Reduction Incentive Plan which provides a list of ways their organization offers marketing, programming and resources that encourage use of alternatives to single occupant vehicles for the daily commute. Musco has been a shining example of how to partner with dibs by taking advantage of our print and online resources to create awareness, and our trip planning platform to build their own incentive programs for their employees.

Dibs is a program of the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), the transportation planning, financing and coordinating agency for the San Joaquin Region. dibs is the Transportation Demand Management program established to promote smart travel options such as carpool, vanpool, transit and biking. The program provides trip planning tools, incentives and outreach services to employers, jurisdictions and community organizations.
