Notice of Availability for the Draft 2024 San Joaquin Council of Governments Public Participation Plan

Notice is hereby given that the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) has released the Draft 2024 San Joaquin Council of Governments Public Participation Plan (PPP) for a 45‐day public review/comment period.

Project Description: The PPP serves as a strategic framework designed to engage and involve the public in decision-making processes related to transportation initiatives, policies, or projects. Its primary purpose is to foster transparency, inclusivity, and accountability by providing a structured approach for involving citizens in the decision-making process. The PPP outlines the methods, channels, and timelines for gathering public input, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered in shaping public policies or projects. This PPP meets the requirements under 23 CFR 450.322 and 23 CFR 450.316

Public Review and Comment: A 45-day public review and comment period for the 2024 PPP will commence on February 5, 2024, and conclude on March 21, 2024. Once the comment period is completed, all comments will be analyzed and considered in the final PPP for adoption by resolution by the San Joaquin Council of Governments Board of Directors at a regularly scheduled meeting on March 28, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.

Aviso de disponibilidad para el borrador del plan de participación pública 2024 del Consejo de Gobiernos de San Joaquín.

Se notifica que el Consejo de Gobiernos de San Joaquín ha publicado el borrador del Plan de Participación Pública 2024 (PPP) para un periodo de revisión y comentario público de 45 días. 

Descripción del proyecto: El PPP sirve como un marco estratégico diseñado para comprometer e involucrar al público en los procesos de toma de decisiones relacionados con las iniciativas de transporte, políticas o proyectos. Su objetivo principal es fomentar la transparencia, la inclusión y la responsabilidad proporcionando un enfoque estructurado para implicar a los ciudadanos en el proceso de toma de decisiones. El PPP esboza los métodos, canales y plazos para recoger las aportaciones del público, garantizando que se tengan en cuenta diversas perspectivas a la hora de dar forma a las políticas o proyectos públicos. El PPP cumple los requisitos establecidos en 23 CFR 450.322 y 23 CFR 450.316.

Revisión y comentarios públicos: Un período de revisión y comentarios públicos de 45 días comenzará el 5 de enero de 2024 para el plan de participación publica 2024 y concluirá el 21 de marzo de 2024. Una vez finalizado el período de comentarios, todos los comentarios serán analizados y considerados en el PPP final para su adopción por resolución de la Junta Directiva del Consejo de Gobiernos de San Joaquín en la reunión programada regularmente para el 28 de marzo de 2024 a las 4:00 p.m.
