Congratulations to San Joaquin County Supervisor Robert Rickman for being named chair of the San Joaquin Council of Governments Board of Directors and Escalon Councilmember Dave Bellinger being named the vice chair.
Rickman, who had been the SJCOG Board vice chair, rotates into the chair position to replace Ripon Councilmember Leo Zuber. The chair and vice chair rotate annually among the members of the joint-powers authority comprised of San Joaquin County and the cities of Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon and Lathrop.
The traditional annual rotation also means changes to SJCOG’s Executive Committee, comprised of five voting members and an alternative. Lathrop Vice Mayor Diane Lazard, who had been an alternative to the Executive Committee, becomes a voting member and Stockton Council member Dan Wright becomes an alternate.
