San Joaquin Valley regional planning agencies are conducting a study to plan the best ways to improve how goods are moved throughout the San Joaquin Valley.
The agencies are gathering the information to find and map the most important truck routes, determine how they could be affected by extreme weather conditions, and suggest ways to improve them. Community feedback will be used to improve the plan and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. They also want to hear from San Joaquin Valley residents about how climate issues or extreme weather conditions may affect freight movement throughout San Joaquin Valley.Community members will be able to review and provide feedback on proposed improvements presented in the study. That input is critical to ensure the plan will effectively improve goods movement.
The San Joaquin Council of Governments, Fresno Council of Governments, Kern Council of Governments, Kings County Association of Governments, Madera County Transportation Commission, Merced County Association of Governments, Stanislaus Council of Governments, and Tulare County Association of Governments are working together to gather the information.
