OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON THE
SAN JOAQUIN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (SJCOG)
DRAFT 2026 REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (RTIP)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public review and comment period will commence on October 17, 2025, and conclude on November 17, 2025, to provide an opportunity for comments on the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Draft 2026 Regional Transportation Improvement Program (2026 RTIP).
Every two years, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) adopts a new Fund Estimate, which includes anticipated Federal and State revenues for the next five years. The adopted Fund Estimate identifies the San Joaquin Region’s Regional Improvement Program (RIP) share, which is used to finance regional transportation projects. SJCOG prepares and adopts a funding proposal in the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) document, which is then be submitted to the CTC for programming and funding consideration in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
The draft document is available for review at the SJCOG office, located at 555 E. Weber Avenue, Stockton CA 95202, and on the SJCOG website at https://www.sjcog.org/226/Regional-Transportation-Improvement-Prog. Public comments may be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. on November 17, 2025, to SJCOG staff at the address below. After considering the comments, the document will be considered for adoption, by resolution, by the SJCOG Board at a regularly scheduled meeting to be held on December 4, 2025. The adopted document will then be submitted to California Transportation Commission for programming consideration.
