SJCOG, CBPR webinar looks at changing definitions of work and what it means

San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) and University of the Pacific’s Center for Business and Policy Research are hosting a webinar looking at the interaction of sustainable employment, environmental responsibility, and equitable opportunities in the North San Joaquin Valley.

The hybrid webinar “San Joaquin County Spotlight: Good Jobs/Green Jobs/Highroad Jobs in the NSJV” begins at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 28. Those interested can attend via Zoom or in person at the SJCOG Board Conference Room at 555 E. Weber Ave., Stockton. Taylor Williams, program manager of workforce and green economy for Edge Collaborative, Edward Flores, associate professor at UC Merced, and Amanda Hughes, executive director of Stanislaus 2030, will make up the panel for this SJCOG Speaker Series event to discuss the evolving definitions of work, where we work, and what it means to the rest of society and the environment.

  1. The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) is the planning, financing and coordinating agency for the San Joaquin region overseeing transportation, housing and habitat conservation.
