Innovation

Transportation planners seek out innovative technologies to make it easier for commuters and others to get where they need to be, whether it's in San Joaquin County or beyond. The benefits are limited only by our imagination. They can make it more convenient to take public transit, which eases traffic congestion, takes cars off the road, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and improves air quality.

Vamos-EZEZHUBHub

The Vamos-EZHub Mobility App has been expanded to connect Stockton residents with available electric mobility services such as Míocar carshare. The app already connects residents with affordable and sustainable ways to get from point A to point B in San Joaquin County. The app allows a user to access information, plan routes, and buy tickets, including trips across multiple agencies and services within San Joaquin County. Tickets are available for San Joaquin Regional Transit District, Altamont Corridor Express (ACE Rail), and transit providers in Escalon, Ripon, Manteca, Tracy, and Lodi. That means a transit user in San Joaquin County can seamlessly travel throughout the county or make a connection to wherever ACE Rail goes. In Fiscal Year 2022-23, the SJCOG team worked to partner with rideshare organizations such as Uber to expand services in the future.
