The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Board of Directors includes one representative each from the cities of Ripon, Escalon, Lathrop, Lodi, Manteca and Tracy; three representatives from the city of Stockton; and three representatives from the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. Joining these 12 voting members are nonvoting advisory representatives from Caltrans District 10, San Joaquin Regional Transit District, and the Port of Stockton.
SJCOG is the designated regional Council of Governments, Regional Transportation Planning Authority, Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Airport Land Use Commission. The SJCOG Board is responsible for all policy decisions for SJCOG and SJCOG Inc., the agency’s nonprofit arm that manages the San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan.
Board members serve multiyear terms and may be reappointed. The chair and vice chair, elected by voting members of SJCOG, serve one-year terms.
Meetings
Check the calendar of events for specific meeting times and dates. The SJCOG Board typically meets at 4 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month. Board workshops are usually held directly before regularly scheduled board meetings. Meetings and workshops are open to the public. You may attend meetings at the SJCOG Office located at 555 E. Weber Ave., Stockton, or watch live on YouTube.
