Social Services Transportation Advisory Committee (SSTAC)
The purpose of the SSTAC is to monitor and promote improvements to those public transportation services for persons with disabilities and seniors residing in San Joaquin County. This is accomplished by fostering the coordination and consolidation of transit services, wherever practical and feasible. Is also accomplished by identifying needs or shortcomings in the existing transportation service system and suggesting feasible ways to meet those needs and/or overcome the shortcomings.
SSTAC Staff: Tanisha Taylor, Regional Planner
Committee Member Composition:
- 1 potential transit user over 60
- 1 potential transit user who is handicapped
- 2 representatives of the local social providers for seniors,
including one social service transportation provider
- 2 Representatives of local service providers for handicapped,
including one social service transportation provider
- 1 representative of a local service provider for persons of
limited means
- 1 Transit Operations Representative
- 1 City Representative
Members of SSTAC are appointed by the SJCOG Board
