Regional Excellence Awards

The Regional Excellence Awards Program is a way for the San Joaquin Council of Governments to honor valuable programs and projects from throughout the San Joaquin County region. This annual recognition program is open to private businesses, public agencies, non-profit and service organizations, and individuals in San Joaquin County who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding achievement in the program categories. Self nominations are encouraged.

The Regional Excellence Award Categories
Winners are recognized in five award categories as follows:

• Robert J. Cabral Leadership Award
• Infrastructure
• Development
• Environment
• Community Involvement

The annual Regional Excellence Awards process
REA guidance and nominations are available in the beginning of October; applicants submit nomination packages to the SJCOG office by mid-November; winners are selected and notified in December; and award winners are recognized at the awards reception in February.

The ninth annual Regional Excellence Awards ceremony was held on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Hutchings Street Square, Lodi.
