I-205 Auxiliary Lanes Project
Project Description
This project will construct four auxiliary lanes at four locations,
eastbound and westbound on I-205.
The locations include east and westbound auxiliary lanes between
Mountain House Parkway and Eleventh Street and between Grant Line Road
and Tracy Boulevard.
I-205 is a highly congested corridor linking the Northern San
Joaquin Valley with the Bay Area. Auxiliary lanes will help to separate
the rapidly growing local traffic from the growing number of
pass-through traffic, thus helping to relieve the ever increasing
highway congestion on I-205.
