 Widening Project

 

Project DescriptionSR 99 South Stockton Widening Project Map
This projectwill widen State Route (SR)99 from a four to a  six-lane freeway from north of Arch Road to the Crosstown Freeway (Hwy 4 west).

The project will also rebuild all bridges; rebuild existing interchanges and permanently close some existing interchanges. The project will also construct, reconstruct, or modify interchanges to accommodate the mainline widening to improve operations and safety. These interchanges are Mariposa, Farmington, Charter Way, and a new interchange at Golden Gate (renamed Martin Luther King).

Charter Way will be reconstructed at the Main Street overcrossing to accommodate two-way traffic. The Charter Way and Clark Drive on-and-off ramps will be closed; and the Charter Way and Farmington Road access to SR 99 will be reconfigured.
