MEASURE K > Sponsored Programs
Bicycles and Pedestrians
The
Measure K program allocates 1.3 % of its total revenues over 20 years
for bicycle facility projects within San Joaquin County. These projects
may include improving existing bicycle facilities and/or planning,
developing, and constructing new facilities. Funding for bicycle
projects is allocated to two categories; a competitive category and a
non-competitive category.
The Competitive category award process occurs every two years with an
allocation of 60% of Measure K bicycle revenues apportioned by a
population-based method. The Competitive Category award process occurs
every four years with an allocation of 40% of Measure K bicycle revenues
apportioned by a selection panel method. During the Measure K 20-year
term, $7,640,981 would be allocated to bicycle projects in San Joaquin
County.
