The San Joaquin County Blueprint Community Workshops

A key component of the Blueprint Process is involving the public in a meaningful way to provide input on their values and their visions for San Joaquin County in 2050.

To that end, San Joaquin Council of Governments staff, in partnership with MIG and Odyssey, designed a series of highly interactive, hands-on public workshops as a first step in the Blueprint Process.

The Phase I Summary Report summarizes and documents the first round of Blueprint workshops that were held in March and April 2007. In total, 14 workshops were held in various locations throughout San Joaquin County.

As part-two of the Blueprint process, a second round of workshops were held to elicit public input on specific growth scenarios that were developed by SJCOG and its advisory groups.

Finally, SJCOG will adopt a preferred scenario for growth that may be used as a guide for future more specific planning efforts by Cities, the County, and other agencies.
