San Joaquin Valley Regional Transportation Planning Agencies' Fall/Winter Policy Conference
Elected officials, directors, senior managers, and planners from the eight Valley metropolitan planning organizations will come together to discuss critically important transportation planning issues at the Regional Transportation Planning Agencies Fall/Winter Policy Conference on January 31- February 1, 2008 in Stockton. The theme of the conference is “Strengthening Our Valley Voice.”

The Regional Planning Agencies coalition represents the eight metropolitan planning organizations in the San Joaquin Valley: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare. The group was formed in 1992 and speaks with one voice on transportation, air quality, and legislative issues that impact the Valley.

Topics for the two day conference include: Transportation Financing, Transportation Sales Tax Measures, Partnerships Outside the Valley, Regional Blueprint, Goods Movement, High Speed Rail, Route 99, and A Single Voice for the Valley.

The conference will be held at the new Stockton Sheraton at Regent Point. A block of rooms have been reserved. Conference tickets are $90 each and include breakfast, lunch, and the Thursday evening reception and dinner.
