Unmet Transit Needs
Annually, SJCOG is required, under Sections 99238.5 and 99401.5 of the Public Utilities Code, to determine if there are any UNMET TRANSIT NEEDS in the County that can reasonably be met. Reasonable unmet transit needs must be funded before Transportation Development Act funds can be used for non-transit purposes. Local public hearings were held throughout San Joaquin County last fall. SJCOG has completed the review and analysis of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-2013 unmet transit needs.

A 30-day review and comment period on the draft plan began on February 3, 2012. All comments are due by March 5, 2012 at 5:00 PM. The final plan will be reviewed by the SJCOG Board at their April meeting.
