Census Data

The Center for Demographic Studies (CDS) at San Joaquin Council of Governments serves as the leading data center for the San Joaquin County region. CDS helps government entities, private businesses, non-profit organizations, and individual citizens make informed decisions by providing a wide range of the most updated data for this region.

Find quick information on basic demographic, economic, housing and social characteristics for the State, the County, and the seven incorporated cities.

Regional Analyst
Regional Analyst, a quarterly SJCOG newsletter, serves as a key component for relaying census-related information to the general public.

American Community Survey

Population, Employment, & Housing Unit Projections
As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for San Joaquin County, SJCOG is required by federal law to periodically update and adopt estimates of future population and employment for the region.  The forecasts are used as the foundation for the Regional Transportation Plan, Air Quality Conformity Analyses, traffic modeling, and other planning studies.
